We hope you guys had a good Easter! We know it’s been a while since we’ve posted and we’re quite behind with all the new makeup being released, but we decided we should definitely let you guys know about the ones we loved the most since we’ve been away!
So as you can probably tell by the title of this post, this will be on the newest foundation release by Estée Lauder which we know has been released in other countries a lot earlier but we were actually waiting FOREVER for it to come to Australia. Being HUGE fans of the Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation, we had high hopes for their new product and it DEFINITELY did not disappoint!
So the Double Wear Nude is a long-wear foundation designed to be more fluid based and waterlight on your skin with 24-hour staying power. If you’ve used their Double Wear foundation before, you might find the formula to be quite creamy and can be quite thick if you do accidentally use a bit tooooo much but this one is definitely a lot more light weight with a MUCH more water like consistency.
As it does have light to medium coverage, this foundation definitely gives a more natural look compared to the more overall polished look of the original Double Wear foundation. What we absolutely LOVE about this foundation though is the fact that it does even out your skin tone and gives your skin a fresh healthy look to the point where it actually just looks like your skin but BETTER! We personally love to use this on the days when you are having a half day of errands and you don’t want to put too much makeup on however do have some imperfections or redness that you do want to cover up.
As we do have different skin types, we did want to test out the staying power of the foundation. For those with combination oily skin, we found that this foundation does stay quite well but do make sure you set it with a setting powder. Even though the weather was quite hot lately, we didn’t find any problems with it streaking or clogging the pores even with the fact that the foundation was on the dewier side of things. For those with more sensitive and dry skin, it was actually super comfortable with absolutely no problems whatsoever.
On a side note, apparently this foundation also has a moisture complex of red fruit extracts including fruits such as watermelon, lychee seed and apple which is actually perfect for the dry weather here in Sydney right now! And as we are really into foundations lately which do include a skin care factor inside, this foundation actually contains antioxidants and SPF 25 which helps protect your skin against environmental damage.
So to conclude this post, we do definitely recommend checking this product out and maybe getting a sample to try out! If you guys do have any questions or want to share with us what you thought of this product, let us know in the comments below! And if you haven’t already, feel free to check out a few of our previous posts!
