Today we will be doing part 3 of our 4 part Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing concealer reviews by sharing with you guys our opinion on the Brightening concealer.
So if you would like to know our opinions on the product then please scrolling!!
Yesterday we did the review on the Industrial strength concealer which is the other full coverage concealer in this range. So if you are after something extremely heavy duty then you can read more about it here (click me) but if you are after something full coverage whilst still somewhat natural then this might be more your cup of tea.
The concealer itself is actually a repackaged version of their previous erase paste, well at least that’s what they claim it to be. For us, it seemed a bit drier in texture which is a little bit of a disappointment as we like our concealers to be creamy so that they’re easier to apply. However it didn’t really make too much of a difference so we were able to just overlook it. When compared to the Industrial concealer, this one contains melon undertones so it is A LOT brighter therefore out of the two this one is definitely more suitable for under eye circles. We love how well it worked on our dark circles and we used a lot less product compared to normal which is another huge bonus point. Additionally, despite the luminous finish, it isn’t oily at all so it stayed on really well throughout the entire day (p.s. even during yoga).
The only issue we have is that we can only use this under our eyes. For our liking, the product is too bright to be used on blemishes and because it has a luminous finish, it is too much to be used all over the face. However if you wanted to go for the natural look then this might be more suitable for you.
Another issue with this concealer is that the shades are too limited. We personally don’t have a problem with the shades because we were able to find one that matches our skin tone however it can easily be a problem for many. This is actually an issue we have with all four concealers simply because sometimes you’re a shade lighter or darker or you might be in between shades and if that is the case then there really is no point for you to go and purchase any of these. Realistically speaking that’s just a waste of money isn’t it?
Overall, this concealer did do what it was suppose to do which is cover up under eye circles. However you can probably find a multi-use concealer for both under eye and blemishes which will save you time and money in the long run so for us this wasn’t exactly a must have. We like the idea of it but it would’ve been better if we could get more use out of it other than just under eye circles. But then again we are positive that there are people out there who would use this for blemishes, etc so it really is personal preference.
Okay guys this is all for now. If you have any questions related to this product feel free to leave a comment below or if you simply want to share with us your opinions on these then also feel free to leave a comment down below.
