Chanel | Travel Diary Fall 2017 Collection| Palette Essentielle

Hey guys!

So we are very excited today to rave about a new palette from Chanel from their new Fall 2017 Travel Diary Collection! So this collection, was inspired by Chanel’s Global Creative Makeup and Color Designer Lucia Pica’s California road trip and reflects various elements from their trip to ‘The Golden State’.

So this new palette, is an all over 3-in-1 face palette which consists of a highlighter, blush and concealer and a fresh and radiant makeup look. The actual design of the palette was inspired by the “Coco Crush” fine jewellery collection which we think is super cute and actually works very well with the palette.

So the face palette comes in three different shade combinations ranging from fair to dark concealer. In our opinion, all three palettes could work as you could use the concealer as a cream highlighter or contour depending on the shade of your skin. When we tried the concealer on, we were surprised to see that the coverage was actually quite good and can be buildable as well. It was also a really nice creamy yet slightly balmy texture and can be easily blended into the skin.

The highlighter in these palettes, are also super creamy and we were surprised to find that although it wasn’t “blinding”, it had a rich enough pigment to give a lovely glow to the skin. For those who do like to have their highlighters really pop, the formula is definitely buildable! We also like to add a bit to the inner corners of the eye to add a little bit of life into them!

So the blush shades in these palettes for us, were actually what really caught our attention! We were actually so surprised to find that the blush colours were super creamy, blended really well and for us, it was like a Chanel lipstick in a palette! Although in the palette the colours may look a bit too intense, but just a little bit can go a long way and actually creates a lovely flush of colour to the cheeks! They also make the perfect lip colour too and we actually like to put a bit on the eyes as an eyeshadow as they are not sticky at all!

All in all, we thought it was a very handy palette to have and especially for those days you are in a rush or what to do a minimal or natural makeup look. We also like the size of the palette which makes it really convenient to slip into your handbag as well and to bring around for touchups through the day.
