Long time no post! So to start off this month fresh, we thought we would do a post on the new Dior Metallics Collection! So as you guys may all know, metallics are ‘in’ right now so of course, Dior had to release their very own collection of metallics! As there are so many products in this collection, we have decided to split it up so this post will be just mainly on the new limited edition Diorblush Colour & Light. So if you want to know more about what our thoughts and opinions on this product, keep reading!
So Dior had in a previous limited edition released a duo contour stick which were super popular so we are guessing they had to bring it back with a new twist! So for this Fall 2017, they brought it back in the form of a blush and highlighter. So there are 3 shades, “Plum Shimmer”, “Peach Glow” and “Rose Pearl” which as the name suggests, the first blush is a lovely deep plum shade with the second being a peachy orange shade and the last being a lovely flush rose pink shade.
What we love about these new duo sticks, is how creamy the formula is and how easily it blends into the skin for a natural flush yet glowing look. As they are a cream texture, they are also a lot easier to control and the product is super buildable! We also love how they come in a stick formula so they are really quick and easy to take around with you everywhere for a touchup or if like us, you need to do your makeup on the go!
Although the thought of plum might seem a bit too intense of the colour itself might look a bit too brown or dark, when applied, it gives you the loveliest touch of red to your cheeks and the highlighter side compliments the colour very well. For us, it is definitely the more dressier colour and perfect for a night out! The “Peachy Glow” is a lovely orangey colour which we found drawn to use as an everyday colour as it just brightens up your look and we like to rotate it with the “Rose Pearl” which is a lovely light rose colour depending on our makeup look of the day but also to just wear by itself on one of those no makeup days to just slightly brighten up our complexion.
We also love putting these colours on our eye lids for a nice flush of colour on those days when you don’t feel like putting much on when you go out. Or to just use the highlighter side to make our eyes look just slightly more alive. And as both sides of the stick are very buildable, some may find that the highlight does not give you enough of that ‘pop’ as it is quite natural but you can always build it up for a more intense look.
What did you guys think of the new Dior collection? Let us know in the comments below! And if you haven’t already, make sure to check out a few of our previous posts.
