So we thought we would share another resort collection that we loved recently. This collection actually caught our attention immediately, with the choice of colours, prints and the shape and silhouettes of the clothing pieces. For us, we actually found the pieces very fresh and refreshing and fun. Although the pieces and colours can be quite bold and loud, worn individually, could give a quirky touch to your everyday outfit!
So Giorgetti’s choice of colours for the collection, was actually inspired by Ugo Rondinone’s spectacular installation Seven Magic Mountains in the Mojave Desert together with the severe geometry of John McCracken’s work. Giorgetti’s collection is actually a reflection of the Southern California surf culture with touches of Banksy’s graffiti.
The use of neon with big bright floral prints and the mash-up of street style with sporty elements and then throw in some oversized surf inspired detailing really exhibits the vast number of different influences and inspirations. What we loved about this though, was how Giorgetti was able to combine all these elements to fit together without the whole line looking like a mess. We also loved the oversized silhouettes of the pieces which while staying feminine, gave a slight boyish feel to the overall vibe. We also loved the use of bright colors and strong prints which made the whole collection seem very outspoken.
So without further ado, our favourite pieces!
