Givenchy | Resort 2018

Hello guys,

Today we wanted to explore the 2018 Resort by Givenchy and just share with you our favourite looks from the collection so if you are interested then keep scrolling.

A lot interest was placed onto this collection as this is Clare Waight Keller’s first collection as Givenchy’s new artistic director. We didn’t know what to expect or what we really wanted out of this collection but now that it is out we can’t say that we’re ecstatic with the looks. The entire collection followed this monochromatic theme and it was nice to see that they took the time to find a fitting background for each colour grouping but it still felt too safe or just common. It is hard to come up with something new seeing that every design is probably already out on the market but everything in this collection seemed like something we can find easily or something we have seen quite often so that part was disappointing.

However just because it was familiar doesn’t seem it is bad. We still loved some of the outfits. The grouping that stood out was definitely the royal blue themed looks and we picked out nearly every single one of the pictures. We definitely loved the designs but it was really the colour that brought everything together. If certain outfits from the royal blue group was to be revamped into an all white monochromatic look then we surely wouldn’t have picked it.

So whoever decided on the royal blue, kudos.
