So today, we decided to do a review on the new Diorskin Forever Perfecting Cushion. So this product has only just come out in Australia a week or two ago and after using it for a week we have to say, WE’RE IN LOVE! We were actually really hyped about this new cushion release as we heard that this one was better than the YSL Fusion Ink Cushion Foundation which we use religiously!
So we actually got shade #12 Porcelain as we found shade #10 too yellow for our skin tone and #11 too pink. What we love about this cushion is the range of shades it comes in as we find with some cushions, the shades are too limited and so it doesn’t really match your skin tone perfectly. As a foundation, we have to say this is quite lacking although does give you a natural look and slightly covers blemishes and pores. Maybe due to the more matte finish this product gives, it makes your skin appear more dull rather than give you a more radiant glow.
However, we do find that when applied on top of a foundation, this gives you a matte yet slightly radiant glow on the spots where you do want your skin to have a glow to to it! (i.e. cheekbones) This might actually be perfect as the last finishing step to your foundation as we found that the staying power is actually so so so good!! Especially during hot days, those with oilier skin might find that their foundation streaks but with this on top of your foundation, we find that our makeup does not budge at all! We also find that applying a little of this over your eyes makes the eyeshadow stay longer too! Not only this, we also found that this gave us a very natural makeup finish while at the same time airbrushing your skin so that none of your pores or imperfections are visible at all!
All in all, we are 100% satisfied with this product and it has definitely lifted our spirits from the Dior Spring 2017 Makeup collection! If you haven’t checked it out already, make sure to try it out!
