It has been a very very VERY long time since our last skincare so we thought, why not write one today and lucky for us, La Mer just released a new skincare product. If you are into skincare and have done a little bit of research then you most definitely have heard of the brand La Mer. At first glance you may be shocked by the price of the items however we can actually guarantee that it is worth every cent.
For todays post, we will be focusing on their newest release which is their Revitalizing Hydrating Serum. The items promises ‘continuous hydration and energy’ and the blend of ‘green, brown and red algae’ is suppose to revitalize your skin from within the surface. It also claims to have 8x the immediate effect of a humidifier whilst giving an all-day hydration which allows your skin to appear plump and visibly softens lines. Now, it isn’t easy for an item to show immediate effect especially for hydrating purposes as you want your skin to look plump but not oily or shiny and just greasy is general so we were really keen to see if it actually did what it said. Honestly, it isn’t one of those items that immediately change your complexion 5 minutes after you use it, you really start seeing the results after a few days. We weren’t disappointed by that fact at all because sometimes the faster the products work, the faster they stop working; if you get the idea.
When you first apply it you may not exactly like the texture as it is a little bit tacky and it also doesn’t absorb into your skin right away, now this may just be our opinion on the product, but for us we had to wait a couple of minutes before the product sunk in and we were able to move onto the next product.
In all honesty, we can’t say that this item is a must have or that it does wonders to your skin but in terms of hydrating purposes, it is one of the nicer products we’ve tried. It didn’t break us out nor did it result is any discomfort and most importantly, it seemed to have cooperated with our other products quite well. We know that generally it is better to use products from the same line or brand if possible, but for everyday use, an entire range of La Mer is just too much. *Laughs sheepishly*
Alright, now hopefully if you were considering to invest in this product, this post assisted you in some way. However if you already have the product do share with us your experiences on it as we would love to hear what other people think about the product.
