Facetasm | Fall 2017 Menswear

Hello guys!

So with all the recent fall runway shows, we decided to do a post on a collection that was actually just released and we’re absolutely loving. As you can probably guess from the title, it will be on Facetasm Fall 2017 Menswear. Along with the menswear collection, there were several pieces for females as well and certain pieces were made for both sexes. Hiromichi Ochiai, the designer, found inspiration in Tokyo where although appearing to be a quite “systemised” city, is actually quite laidback and accepting. He attempts to show the diversity of the individual from the internal in which people’s online presence are different from their IRL life.

His idea is reflected through the garments which show a diversity of big, heavy outerwear made thick by the amount of fabric used such as bed skirts wrapped around heels, oversized thick puffer material coats paired with slip dresses for women. While it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, we really loved the eclectic pairings and looks of this collection, very messy but yet work as a whole.

So without further ado, our favourite pieces from this collection!
