It has been quite a while since we’ve had anything Dior on our site, I think roughly 2 months? Now that is just insanity. We actually bought quite a few items from there but we just never wrote about it or even shared it with you guys. So today we thought that we will talk once again a little bit about one of our favourite brands; focusing of course, on their new collection.
To be completely honest, at first glance both of us were quite shocked simply because we saw the #366 Bain de Mer palette first and we both thought, how is anyone going to be able to pull that off. So we were actually a little disappointed because it felt like this collection just had nothing to do with us, HOWEVER, we were mistaken as they actually brought out Milky Tints which we both agree, is something they should have done ages ago. Additionally, the new packaging for the Milky Dots collection is adorable with both the eye shadow casing and the packaging of the collection to include dots (it is actually a lot cuter than you would expect). So without further ado, lets get into the look.
5 Couleurs Polka Dots
Now I am pretty sure if you have seen this range, you would have definitely seen the eyeshadows; in fact, they might have been the first item you saw. It might have been a little overwhelming with the boldness that they went for in the ad but when you actually swatch the colours, they are still somewhat wearable. However, neither of them are palettes we would personally wear simply because blues do not look good on us (especially if they are so bright) and for Escapade, we would have definitely bought it if it was shimmery. The two palettes are called #366 Bain de Mer and #536 Escapade respectively and if you really just wanted to get one of the palettes we actually recommend #366 Bain de Mer simply because it is so out of the ordinary and will always be that fun palette that can come in handy when you are feeling special one day.
Dior Addict Milky Tint
Now, this is our FAVOURITE item of the collection, in fact we like it so much that we have decided to dedicate one entire post to it simply because one or two paragraphs just doesn’t do it justice.
So please do check it out –> Milky Tint ♡
Dior Addict Lip Glow Pomade
If you own the Dior Addict Lip Glow then you will definitely like this item. Same effect but I would say that this one is more hydrating and better to apply because sometimes when your lips are dry to a certain extent, when applying a stick, it actually doesn’t feel like it is doing anything however this formula is more liquified and when you apply it, you really feel the gel texture but it isn’t one of those overly gooey sensation, but more of a nice soothing kind.
Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow
Now this is just the Summer take on the preexisting Diorskin Nude Air Loose Powder. The main difference would be this includes a very summery healthy glow to it which probably will be better to only be used on the places you wish to highlight or draw more light towards because even though the shimmers are quite fine, if you were to pat it all over your face it still would be a little too heavy; especially if you were going for a subtle look.
Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder
This item really is one of those all-in-one powders that seem to do everything, set your makeup, bringing radiance to your face and finishing everything off with a gorgeous satin touch. With this item you actually need to test it out just to see its brilliance and we reckon if you are running out of a powder, this one is definitely worth considering. May be pricey but the results are there. Oh, and it comes with an adorable mini kabuki brush.
Dior Vernis Polka Dots
IT COMES WITH A DIOR DOTTING TOOL!!!! That’s all that is necessary to get me to buy this. Dior polishes are one of our favourites and the colours always seem to be prettier when applied so when these came out, it was just love at first sight. The combinations themselves are adorable and the fact that they now have a dotting tool just made everything 10 times better. It comes in three combinations, #001 Pastilles, #002 Confettis and #003 Plumetis; my personal favourite is Plumetis as both of the colours are so wearable on their own but so cute paired up (and because I will always choose the pink nail polish colour over any other).
Alright, so that is all for today, we hope you enjoyed the new collection along with the post and as usual please do share your favourite and we will see you again very soon. Also, if you haven’t seen our previous posts please do check them out! ♡
