Chanel Spring-Summer 2016 Haute Couture

With all the brands fighting to upstage one another in terms of luxury, Chanel took a minute to simply bask in nature in the recent eco-couture show. The Grand Palais was recently transformed into what one might imagine as an utopia with green lawn, water lily ponds, planed oak and blue skies. However all of this hardly matched up to the extravaganza that is the Chanel Spring-Summer 2016 Haute Couture as models emerged one after another from a central wooden house wearing nothing but the best of designs.

For this season, the one thing that grasped my full attention was the inclusion of wood chips; whether it was involved in the staging for the show or if it was included in long vests, underskirts, the cork wedge of the platform pumps, etc; however it was used, it worked. Now of course there were also garments which didn’t have any wood involved and not at all surprising was the fact that it was a series of diamonds.

Now without further ado, here are some pieces of what was an absolutely spectacular show.

Now, this concludes today’s post and we would love to hear your opinions on the show especially what you thought was the highlight as well as your favorite piece.

We will talk to you very soon.
